We are back!

What a year it has been!  Most importantly we hope that you and your loved ones are all well.

In between lockdowns we were able to organise a holiday in the Lake District for a family in need of a break away.  We were so pleased to be able to do this during this difficult year.  We are now in touch with our wonderful referrers and generous property owners and hope to be able to make more matches now that restrictions are slowly being lifted.  As ever our priority is to make sure that our guests and property owners are all kept safe.   We are actively looking for more properties so please do get in touch if you may able able to help.

Stay safe

Due to the current guidelines, at the this time we are not arranging breaks away in beautiful places for our guests.  We look forward to a time when we can start taking referrals.  We hope that all our property owners, referrers, supporters and friends are safe and well.

Covid-19 update

We hope that all of our supporters, referrers and guests are keeping well during these unprecedented times.

After careful consideration, we have reluctantly decided not to accept any referrals until 2021.

We are currently working to expand the portfolio of properties that we are able to offer to the guests who are referred to us by our network of care professionals and will contact referrers once we are able to start organising breaks away in beautiful places.

Please do contact us if you are able to support our work or have a property that you would like to add to our scheme.

Feedback from our Guests

Getting feedback like this makes us all the more determined to keep organising breaks for our guests…..

“Just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for arranging a wonderful time away for me and my family to enjoy in Northumberland. We had a wonderful time. The cottage was fantastic and in a wonderful position right near the beach. Dog had some excellent walks. We ate, drank, read and played games. The important thing was that we were altogether. I think what you do is fantastic and the homeowners are so generous. Also the yummy Keelham Farm Shop treats went down a treat.
Thank you once again and take care”

Big thanks to Angela Keane, the owner of the property who was immensely reassuring and went the extra mile to make sure that the guests had a magical time.

Rainbows

Thank you Gill Nolan!  Gill is one of our Referrers based in the North West.  During Lockdown one of Gill’s neighbours made these beautiful rainbows. What’s made them extra special for all of us is that the neighbour’s adult son, who has Downs Syndrome, has made the bobbles and he loved every minute of it.  The rainbows have been shared with neighbours in return for a donation to ABOAB, up to now Gill has donated £70 but still due some more .

Thank you to everyone who has contributed.

Covid-19

We are keeping a very close eye on the Government guidance during this Coronavirus pandemic.  We hope that we will be able to start arranging breaks away in the near future but we are very aware of the difficulties faced by everyone at this time.

We hope that all our referrers, guests, property owners, supporters and friends are safe and well at this time and we send our best wishes to them all.
